The Swing Catalyst 3D Motion Plate is our flagship swing analysis system, already used by many of the best coaches in the world. The 3D Motion Plate is a unique combination of our state-of-the-art pressure plate technology (Balance Plate) and a highly advanced force plate. Not only can you study detailed foot pressure data and CoP patterns, the 3D Motion Plate also provides horizontal and vertical force measurements. From this we measure the amount of torque and ground reaction forces generated during a golf swing. All 3D Motion Plate data is perfectly synchronized with high-speed video images and data from the most popular ball/club tracking devices.
Overall Vertical Force:
Measures the force exerted vertically by the golfer during the swing, indicating how much pressure is applied to the ground. Understanding vertical force distribution helps golfers optimize their weight transfer and balance, leading to improved stability, power generation, and consistency in ball striking.
Overall Torque (Plate) - About center of plate:
Measures the rotational force applied to the sensor plate around its center, providing insight into how efficiently the golfer utilizes the ground to generate torque. Analyzing torque around the center of the plate helps golfers optimize their weight transfer and rotational mechanics, leading to increased clubhead speed, improved accuracy, and greater consistency in shot performance.
Overall Torque (Person - About CoP):
Quantifies the rotational force applied by the golfer around the center of pressure, indicating the efficiency of body rotation and weight transfer. Understanding overall torque helps golfers optimize their rotational mechanics, leading to improved clubhead speed, accuracy, and consistency in ball striking.
Overall Horizontal Force (Toe/Heel):
Measures the force exerted by a golfer in the toe-to-heel direction during the swing, providing insight into how weight is distributed across the feet and how efficiently the golfer utilizes ground reaction forces. Analyzing horizontal force distribution aids golfers in optimizing their stance and footwork, resulting in more efficient energy transfer, enhanced stability, and greater control over shot direction and spin.
Overall Horizontal Force (Front/Back):
Measures the force exerted by a golfer in the front-to-back direction during the swing, indicating how much power is generated in this plane of movement. Understanding the distribution of horizontal force helps golfers optimize their weight transfer and balance, leading to improved clubhead speed, ball distance, and control over shot trajectory.
